I have only owned this product for a short while so I haven't experienced any problems. Two years ago my computer ended up with a worm which sent out bogus messages to friends to infect their Windows computers. It was embarrassing and upsetting. I had always bragged that Macs were immune. I purchased a version of Norton Anti-Virus and within a day, the troubles stopped. Since then, I never leave my Mac unprotected. This version seems to be an improvement over other versions and I feel better having it on my computer. I now have Leopard OX so I wanted to make sure the program could protect it.

Since upgrading to Norton AntiVirus 11 for Mac, I've had no problems at all. It's done it's job reliably without me having to think about it. It even caught a couple of Windows PC viruses in my old email archive that the previous version of AntiVirus hadn't found.

I am using Noton AntiVirus for Mac ver 11 on my MacBook Pro with snow leopard. I keep my system up to date. I was using another well known program and bought the new version which made it impossible for me to get reliable updates. Three weeks into requests to their tech support, I still did not have a solution. And it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience with their people. A fair part of what I managed to fix was what I figured out myself. The rest they might as well have thrown in a hole.
I was afraid to try Norton after reading all the negative reviews, but I was frankly desperate to keep my machine protected for my internet work that needs proper security. This is a FAR BETTER program in my opinion than my previous programs. I am getting updates almost daily. I download my updates every time I turn my machine on. The program works beautifully, does what it says it does, and it does NOT slow down my machine. Occasionally a web page may take a little longer to load as it is being checked and verified, but the program is doing its job and protecting me from fraudulent websites and hostile programs on them.
When I called Symantec/Norton with a couple of questions, they were answered promptly, correctly, and courteously, and I RECEIVED A QUESTIONNAIRE IN MY EMAIL IMMEDIATELY ASKING ME IF MY REQUEST HAD BEEN PROPERLY HANDLED. Obviously they care about their customer relations and have taken past complaints under consideration.
An excellent program. A totally satisfied customer. I would highly recommend it.
I am totally satisfied with this program. I DID read the directions when I installed. They are simple, but it really doesn't hurt to check those out.

The Norton AntiVirus software is easy to install and use, runs in the back ground and doesn't seem to slow the computer speed down at all.
